Ground off the old strobe mounts with a belt sander and fiberglasses a new backing in place. Use body putty to smooth it out. Reinstalled fiberglass tips on plane.
Checked measurements for the aluminum oil-filter 'collar' purchased from JC Whitney. Brought home to grind down/cut off where appropriate (not much clearance to oil pan or alternator belt on the engine).
Replaced rusting steel hex-head bolts on instrument panel with stainless. Brought home wheel pant front piece to test fit landing lights (Pilot brand auto driving lights).
