Builder's/Flyer's Log 02/13/2000

Finished panel lights, one landing light. First night flight.

Flight Time: 0.5 hours ... Total Engine Time: 86.9 hours

Build Time: 2.5 hours ... Analysis Time: 0.0 hours

Installed three Whelan post lights, one for Altimeter, one for Airspeed, and the third for the artificial horizon or turn coordinator (you can swivel it). Installed one landing light in the right wheel fairing. I'll have to see how it fairs with the vibration.

Went for a short night flight, my first since 1985. Well actually my first solo night flight ever. Landing light seems to work but its hard to tell with all the runway lighting. It does light up the prop disk pretty good though. Need to adjust it to the right some.

Cut the oil filter collar (to improve cooling) in half and shortened it slightly. Clamped in place on oil filter.
