Finished polishing the plane. A pretty mediocre job, but I got tired of making many trips between home and the airport to clean the twenty or so polishing towels/bonnets I've been using. Plane does look much better now, though.
Bought some pin-stripe tape from an auto parts store to test out. Applied it to the tail.
I think it looks pretty good, so I'll probably buy more for the rest of the plane.
With the prop repitched now to 15 degrees collected some data:
Climbed to 14000MSL again. ROC was much less than before. At 14000 it was down to 350fpm, full throttle (4200rpm) , 60 KIAS, and OAT of 33F. Full throttle cruise at 14000MSL was 80 KIAS, 112MPH ground speed, and 4500rpm.
On the way down to earth played with glide ratio, now that GPS altitude is much more accurate since they shut off selective availability. Best glide speed was 50KIAS, around 7.5:1 glideslope.
Found that the extra sheet metal screws I installed on the strips covering the wing joints strip out in the 0.016 metal pretty easily. Replaced them with SS machine screws and U-nuts.
