Flew to KS, OK, TX, NM

No particular reason, just haven't flown in any of those states.


Here's Kansas... yep, pretty boring.


Flew to Elkart Kansas and did a touch-and-go. What appeared to be large buildings from a distance were of course grain elevators. At 3600 ft MSL this is the lowest I've been since moving to Colorado.

Next stop was Boise City, Oklahoma. Good practice x-wind landing and takeoff.


Dalhart, TX was my farthest destination. Some interesting cloud/circular crop formations. Who would have guessed it would be rather hot in Texas in August?


Beef, it's what's for dinner.


Finally got to New Mexico where the terrain wasn't flat anymore. Kind of neat flying around some of the canyons.


This is the Purgettoire river valley back in SE Colorado.


And back home at Meadow Lake airport. That's Pike's Peak in the background.
