Flew from Oshkosh back to Webster City (EBS)
back to Lexington, where we discovered that contrary to the information in the AOPA airport guide they close at noon on Saturday's. Flew 12 miles to Cozad (CZD) who was open and bought fuel. Continued on to Meadow Lake to find the only weather of the entire trip, a very intense looking downpour parked about 1/8 mile from the airport. As we were circling around I looked down to find that my TKM radio, which had been repaired just before leaving on the trip, had died again. We circled around for a while hoping the storm would move off, but it didn't and we were running low on fuel so I connected my Icom handheld to the aircraft antenna and we landed at Colorado Springs. We bought more fuel and left about an hour later, to find the Meadow Lake calm again.
