Bruce's Current Progress on his Zodiac

As of 6/25/99 I have finished the entire plane except for some body work and painting. I started flight testing the plane 8/27/99.

Here she is! See below for actual construction pictures.

You can skip to photographs of the Crate, Rudder, Elevator, Horizontal Stabilizer, outer wing panel, center wing/landing gearfuselage, engine, instrument panel, interior, weighing the plane or of the plane flying.

Here is a picture of Bruce and his plane in its $490 crate.  It was delivered by Roadway trucking to Portland, and to my garage by way of a local delivery company.  The delivery cost was $374. I'm told the crate weighs 600 lbs.

Everything unpacked from the crate, except for the wing and fuselage skins (in a separate 4x8 ft shelf suspended from the ceiling of my garage), the canopy and the fuel tank (in my bedroom closet), and four 1x1x3 ft cardboard boxes full of rivets, the brake system, wing ribs, and a myriad of small metal parts.

The rudder internal skeleton, already primed with Variprime self-etching primer.

This is the rudder assembled with clecos.
